Liz Kramer has always had passion for research. At Johns Hopkins University in the lab of tissue engineering pioneer Dr. Jennifer Elisseeff, Liz gained an appreciation for the attention to detail required of good science. She further honed her analytical skills in data collection and technical writing at a biodefense consulting firm in Washington DC. Upon finding the lab animal science field, Liz has found work she finds important, interesting and fulfilling. Originally brought on as an engineer, Liz has served in many roles at Lenderking including Senior Analyst of R&D and is now Director of Sales. Never a person to sit on the sidelines, Liz has been a part of the National Capital Area Branch of AALAS’s council since 2017 and is now honored to be president of this very active local branch for 2021. Leading a group of inspiring researchers and animal professionals during such a challenging time is the type of opportunity where Liz’s thinking outside the box skills can really shine.

The International Boarding & Pet Services Association (IBPSA) is a professional association serving the pet care services industry. IBPSA offers business resources, staff education, and legislative support. IBPSA Members include the owners and employees of pet boarding and daycare facilities, groomers, dog walkers, pet sitters, veterinarians, trainers, and holistic pet care providers currently residing in more than 10 countries. Pet owners across the globe spend billions on their pets every year. In fact, Americans, alone, spend more than $60 billion. Of that, over $5 billion is spent on pet care services such as grooming, boarding, walking, training, and pet sitting. This “services” category of pet spending is routinely growing by the largest percentage – more than triple the growth percentage of any other category in recent years.
